I’m Engy Essam Elhamzawy, a Junior DevOps Engineer from Cairo, Egypt, with a background in electrical engineering. I graduated with honors from Hofstra University with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. My graduation project focused on developing a Dual-Axis Solar Tracking System, integrating sensors, motor control, and embedded programming to improve energy efficiency.
Currently, I’m a DevOps Engineer Trainee at the Information Technology Institute (ITI), where I’m gaining hands-on experience with Linux, Bash scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions. I’m also working on cloud deployments with AWS and Azure, automating infrastructure with Ansible, and enhancing server security with Apache and Nginx.
Previously, I interned at RSBD Architects in New York, where I contributed to electrical engineering projects, focusing on CAD-based lighting design and compliance with industry standards. I’m also an active member of IEEE and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), engaging in mentorship and professional development programs.
With a strong foundation in programming, cloud infrastructure, and automation, I’m continuously learning and striving to make an impact in the field of DevOps and engineering.
