• E-learning portal will be developed by utilizing Open Edx platform (open source) • The system should be integrated with LDAP to create user profiles, authenticate users, retrieve their information and log in to the system • E-learning portal should consist of the following main modules: o E-learning video courses related to DEEM services O Knowledge base for DEEM services • The system design will be responsive to function with different screen sizes (Mobile, Tabled, PC) • The system design will consider SDAIA branding guidelines, logo, colors and fonts • The system should support bilingual (Arabic and English) • The E-learning video courses module should be able to provide the following capabilities: O Admin/author should be able to create training courses as required o Adrnin/author should be able to create learning paths (a structured training program) o Learning Path is a selection of courses tied together for learners to progress through, mastering a particular subject or program o Learning path can be completed only when the learner completes all sub-courses o Training courses can be independent (stand-alone course) or part of a learning path o Leamers should be able to self-enroll in any course at any time as needed o Leamers should be able to self-enroll in a course or learning path o A training course can be completed only when the learner attends the full course o Admin/author should be able to create quizzes and tie them with course or a section in a course o A certificate of completion can be automatically generated after completing a course or learning path o Each certificate of completion should have a unique ID, Name of the user, name of the course, date of completion and expiry date when applicable o The system should be able to validate the certificate by its unique ID to ensure its validity o Certificate can be printed and exported to PDF O Admin/author should be able to create survey to collect information about the course after completing a course o The portal should be able to track learner progress in a course and learning path and display history of the progress of each course the learner attended o The system should allow sharing of an invitation link to allow learners to enroll in a training course or learning path o The portal should allow the re-use of course component to be utilized for another course when required O The portal should provide discussions forum where course participants can engage in discussions O Ability to Hide/show training course or learning path • Knowledge base module should be able to provide the following capabilities: O A self-serve fservices

o A search box to help the users find the needed information from the knowledgebase o Category and list of the topics where the user can click on and read the details o Knowledge pages can be used to create articles, FAQs, and information specific to the DEEM services and components. o Each article may contain a link to enroll the user in the related training course o The knowledge base should have an advanced text editor to support article formatting o Ability to Hide/show knowledge base article o Only admin/author can create articles O Learners can read-only the articles
