The primary goal of this project was to analyze customer churn patterns across three European countries (France, Germany, and Spain) to identify key demographic and behavioral drivers of customer attrition. By transforming raw transactional data into an interactive dashboard, the project aims to provide actionable insights to reduce customer turnover.
Insights:
- Overall Churn Rate: The bank experiences a 20% overall churn rate (2,037 customers out of 10,000).
- Geographic Hotspots: While the churn counts are similar for France (810) and Germany (814), the churn rate in Germany is likely double due to its smaller customer base, indicating a critical retention issue in the German market.
- Age: Customers aged 26-50 account for the highest number of churned customers (1,363), suggesting that working professionals are a high-risk segment.
- Gender: Female customers churn at a higher rate (56%) compared to males (44%).
- Activity Status: Inactive members are the #1 driver of churn (1,302 churned vs. 735 active churned)
