Formly LMS introduces a powerful Session Override System that lets each training session inherit all data from its parent course template, while allowing granular customization without ever modifying the original course. Titles, descriptions, pricing, chapters, documents, and workflow actions can all be selectively overridden at session level. The system uses lazy initialization—chapters/documents are only copied when the user edits them—ensuring optimal performance and full separation between template data and session-specific modifications. Each session exposes “effective” values (override → template fallback) to the frontend, guaranteeing consistent display logic across the platform.
