This project provides a comprehensive analysis of water services access across various regions from 2000 to 2022, focusing on areas with both significant progress and challenges in water accessibility. The analysis includes:
Missing Years and Progress: Identification of areas with missing data years and their corresponding progress in water services. This section highlights the total number of missing years and the percentage of water services available in different regions.
Constant Progress Areas: Examination of countries that have maintained a consistent rate of access to water services over the years, showcasing their progress and stability in water accessibility.
Bottom and Top Areas: A detailed look at the bottom five areas with the least access to water services over the last five years, including the Central African Republic, Chad, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Conversely, it also highlights the top five areas with the highest access rates, such as Andorra and Gibraltar, illustrating the disparities in water service availability.
Trends Over Time: Graphical representation of the percentage of water services over the last five years, comparing rural and urban areas, and analyzing the trends in water access.
Global Estimates: A summary of global estimates of water access, including the number of geoareas analyzed, providing a broader context for the findings.
This project aims to inform stakeholders about the current state of water services, identify areas needing attention, and promote strategies for improving water access globally.
