Leading and managing the accounting team with a strong focus on teamwork and accountability, including recruitment, setting objectives, performance management, coaching, development, and training.
- Overseeing day-to-day finance operations, managing all aspects of accounting including revenues, expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, owner’s equity, operating costs, and inventory control.
- Reviewing and approving daily payment vouchers and journal entries.
- Managing monthly closings and maintaining all accounting ledgers, including monthly review of account reconciliations.
- Overseeing fixed assets management and coordinating all payroll activities.
- Preparing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, statements of cash flows, and year-end financial reports.
- Preparing all tax schedules/returns and coordinating tax work-papers for the tax group.
- Collaborating with external auditors to ensure compliance and cooperation.
- Developing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Handling insurance issues and coordinating with the personnel department.
