Long COVID or Post -Acute- sequelae of SARS-COV2 infection (PASC),
refers to prolonged symptoms that last at least three months, and others may be permanent.
After acute and severe infection of COVID-19, more than 10% usually have a neurological complication, which affects their mental functions and includes pathological changes.
During the Pandemic with SARS-CoV-2 in early 2020, doctors and scientists did not know much
about this virus and how to treat it. They tried to learn about its nature and how to control the symptoms, but they didn't think enough about long COVID and the effects of the virus on the human brain.
