Project Overview:

As part of an independent project, SPARKCLEAN was developed to efficiently clean and standardize audiobook metadata from June 2023 to June 2023. The focus was on enhancing data quality, particularly in the areas of release dates, duration calculation, ratings, and pricing information.

Key Achievements:

Standardized Release Dates:

Implemented a consistent date format across the dataset to ensure uniformity.

Identified and rectified incorrect date entries through comprehensive checks on number formats, improving accuracy and reliability.

Precise Duration Calculation:

Calculated the total duration in minutes for each audiobook entry by accurately extracting hours and minutes separately.

Ensured precise and consistent representation of duration data, facilitating easy comparison and analysis.

Improved Data Quality in Ratings:

Cleansed the rating column by eliminating unnecessary strings and presenting values as 'none' for entries lacking ratings.

Enhanced the overall quality and clarity of rating data, making it more informative for analysis.

Formatted Pricing Information:

Formatted the price column according to currency standards, ensuring uniformity and clarity within the dataset.

Improved data consistency and readability, enhancing the usability of pricing information for stakeholders.
