Project: Mobile & Web Application Development
Project Overview:
I am looking for an experienced full-stack developer or a small development team to build a cross-platform mobile application (iOS & Android) with an accompanying web-based admin dashboard.
The application is a multi-sided marketplace platform connecting service providers with end-users. It will include:
User authentication and profile management (individuals and businesses)
Real-time service discovery, booking, and scheduling
Integrated payment processing with split payments between multiple parties
A rating and review system
An admin dashboard for managing users, bookings, and transactions
Technical Requirements:
Frontend (Mobile App):
Cross-platform framework: React Native (with Expo preferred)
Language: TypeScript
Must be fully accessible, supporting screen readers (TalkBack/VoiceOver) and WCAG accessibility semantics
Offline-first capability for core features
Backend:
Framework: Node.js with Express.js (or similar)
RESTful API or GraphQL
Real-time capabilities (WebSockets or similar) for live tracking and notifications
Database:
PostgreSQL or MySQL
Proper indexing and query optimization for scalability
Payments:
Stripe Connect integration for marketplace payments
Support for multi-currency transactions
Escrow functionality where funds are held until service completion
Admin Dashboard (Web):
Built with a modern framework (React, Vue, or similar)
User management (approve/block/suspend)
Booking and transaction monitoring
Analytics and reporting dashboards
Non-Functional Requirements:
Scalability: The system should handle 10,000+ concurrent users and scale horizontally
Security: HTTPS, JWT-based authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), data encryption at rest
Performance: API response times under 500ms for 95% of requests
Monitoring: Implement logging, error tracking, and performance monitoring (e.g., Sentry, Datadog)
Auditability: All transactions must have traceable reference numbers and audit logs
Deliverables:
Fully functional mobile app (iOS & Android) with source code
Web-based admin dashboard with source code
Backend API with complete documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)
Database schema and migration scripts
Deployment guide and CI/CD pipeline setup
Testing suite (unit, integration, and end-to-end tests)
