1- Middleware Security Admin

Ensure only users with appropriate roles (e.g., admin, superuser) can access sensitive or restricted routes/pages.

2- Disable Signup Page (without removing code)

Temporarily disable the signup functionality while keeping the code intact.

Restrict access to the signup page based on user roles, allowing only authorized users to access it.

3- Fix Verification Code Bypass

Ensure that users cannot bypass the verification code step during the authentication process.

Implement proper validation and flow to require the correct verification code before granting access.

4- Session Timer Logout

Implement an automatic session logout feature based on a period of user inactivity (e.g., 30 minutes).

Ensure that users are automatically logged out after the session expires and are redirected to the login page.

5- Prevent Incorrect Login Attempts

Implement security measures to prevent users from logging in with incorrect credentials.

Set up rate-limiting or account lockout mechanisms after multiple failed login attempts to prevent brute-force attacks.

6- Fix High-Priority Package Issues

Review and resolve issues with any high-priority packages or dependencies that need to be fixed or updated.

Ensure that any required package updates or fixes are implemented and tested.

7- Remove Notification Alerts from the UI

Remove or disable notification alerts that are currently displayed in the notification box of the application.

Ensure the notification system is clean and free from unnecessary alerts.

Key Requirements:

Strong experience in backend security, session management, and role-based access control.

Proficiency with web application frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Express, etc.).

Experience with session management and security best practices.

Ability to write clean, maintainable code that follows industry standards.

Attention to detail in fixing security issues and making sure all features work as expected.

Good communication skills and ability to work with a team of developers for code review and testing.

Deliverables:

A fully functional implementation of the above tasks with clean, well-commented code.

A summary of changes made and any additional recommendations for improving security and performance.

The code must be tested and verified for security vulnerabilities.
