PROJECT REPORT

INSTRUCTIONS

The project includes the development of an Architectural 3D model, residential or a small commercial building, on Autodesk Revit. The project also includes 4D and 5D modeling of the building project. The minimum specifications for the project are:

i) 3D Architectural Model:

a. Two story building (at least) – foundation to roof

b. Must use the following families: wall, floor, door, window, and components (furniture, specialty equipment (domestic\high-end), plumbing (architectural\fixtures), lighting (architectural\internal), ceiling, roof, railing, stair, foundation wall, beam, and column

c. Must have a covered area of at least 300 square meters.

d. The Revit model file should contain drawing sheets for each floor plan, two sections (one in north-south and the other in east-west direction), four elevations (north, south, east, west), default 3D view, at least two camera views – one on each floor, and schedules for doors, windows, and rooms.

ii) 4D Navisworks schedule simulation

iii) 5D Navisworks materials quantity take-off

All other details for the purpose of modeling can be assumed.

Project Report Layout

The project shall be submitted with Autodesk Revit and Navisworks project files along with a PDF project report. The details of the PDF project report are:

1. Title page (Name of project, name of student along with Student ID, and report title “Project Report”)

2. Introduction (introduce what is the project about and provide a few lines description on scope to explain what works are included in the project)

3. Default 3D view drawing sheet

4. Elevation drawing sheets

5. Camera drawing sheets

6. Plan drawing sheets

7. Section drawing sheets

8. Schedule drawing sheets

9. Navisworks 4D scheduling report

10. Navisworks 5D quantity take-off report
