Every year, millions of girls are subjected to practices that harm them physically and emotionally, with the full knowledge and consent of their families, friends and communities. UNFPA launched a global awareness campaign in 2020 stresses that there are concrete steps that countries and communities can take to end harmful practices all over the world and in the Arab region.
