Software Defined Network

Focusing solely on client-server computing, these network architectures fail to meet the needs of today’s computing trends. Computer networks are in constant evolution and need to be flexible, scalable, and programmable to be ready for future innovations of next-generation networks. Also, Changes in traffic patterns for increased accessibility and connectivity, the rising prominence of public and private cloud services, and the immense parallel server processing necessary for mega datasets are making it imperative that the demand for higher network capacity be fulfilled.

In My project, I focused on Software Defined Network (SDN) to address these needs using a more dynamic and flexible networking architecture. This Project can be divided into two main parts. The first one is a descriptive part in which is explained OpenFlow technology. The second one is an experimental part in which are described the tests that have been conducted and are shown the obtained results.
