Afrobot is a non-profit organization that seeks to grow the presence of black software engineers in the industry through career advisement and online hackathons targeting black college students and children.

The Afro signifies African descent and robot or “bot” signifies the focus on technology. Afrobot is short for Afro Builders of Technology.

The target audience for this organization will be black college students between the ages of 18-22.
