Shadow Trace takes place in a modern world where a hidden dark dimension exists, visible only to a few. Kai, a quiet young man living an ordinary life on the surface, accidentally discovers his ability to see “traces” — residual energies left behind by crimes, entities, and unexplained events. These traces lead him to a terrifying truth: every human has another shadow… and sometimes, it can break free.

As the story unfolds, Rin, a mysterious figure with deep knowledge of the hidden world, reveals to Kai that what he possesses is not a gift, but a curse tied to an alternate version of himself — a stronger, more violent counterpart that feeds on fear and guilt. The closer Kai gets to the truth, the more powerful this shadow becomes, leaving its mark on reality itself.

The story evolves into a psychological and existential conflict, where the characters do not only face external monsters, but distorted versions of their own selves, confronting heavy questions about identity, choice, and the thin line between survival and collapse.

تدور أحداث "ظلال الأثر" Shadow Trace في عالمٍ حديث يختبئ خلفه بُعد مظلم لا يراه سوى القلة. كاي، شاب هادئ يعيش حياة عادية ظاهريًا، يكتشف بالصدفة قدرته على رؤية “الآثار” — بقايا طاقة غامضة تتركها الجرائم، الكيانات، والأحداث التي لا يمكن تفسيرها. هذه الآثار تقوده إلى حقيقة مرعبة: كل إنسان يملك ظلًا آخر… وقد ينفصل عنه.

مع تصاعد الأحداث، يظهر رين، شخصية غامضة تحمل معرفة عميقة بالعالم الخفي، لتكشف لكاي أن ما يراه ليس موهبة بل لعنة مرتبطة بنسخة أخرى منه، نسخة أقوى، أكثر عنفًا، وتتغذى على الخوف والذنب. كلما اقترب كاي من الحقيقة، ازدادت قوة هذا الظل، وبدأ يترك بصمته في الواقع.

تتحول القصة إلى صراع نفسي ووجودي، حيث لا يواجه الأبطال وحوشًا خارجية فقط، بل النسخ المشوهة من ذواتهم، والأسئلة الثقيلة عن الهوية، الاختيار، والخط الفاصل بين النجاة والانهيار.
