This project focuses on the structural design of a multistory reinforced concrete building, which is a highly special brand of structural engineering, particularly in regions where winds and earthquakes provide extra challenges to engineers. This type of buildings is being widely used in Gaza due to scarcity of land. The building in this project consists of twelve stories; basement floor, ground floor and eight typical floors. The area of the typical floor was equal to 481 m2, and the total height of the building was equal to 27 m.

The critical loading case for lateral loads was the earthquake, rather than wind. The resisting system used was a building frame with shear walls.

The soil supporting the foundation of the building have a capacity of 20 t/m2 based on the soil part, therefore concrete mat foundation was used.
