Youtube is an American video sharing website headquartered in San Bruno, California and formed in February 14th 2005 by three PayPal employees Chad Hurley , Steve Chen and Jawed karim.
" Me at the zoo " is the title of the first video that was uploaded to YouTube. It was uploaded on April 23, 2005 at 20:27:12 PDT by the site's co-founder Jawed Karim, with the username "jawed" , it has 73M views and 2.2M likes.
Fred Figglehorn was the first video maker on YouTube to reach one million subscribers. Fred uploaded a video in the 7th of April 2009 named " One million subscribers " in which he thanked his subscribers for the huge number he just reached.
With a total of 294 videos , smosh was the first YouTube channel to hit 10 million subscribers on the 28th of May 2013 , the comedy channel was created by Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox under the Alloy Digital umbrella.
In December 2016 , Felix" PewDiePie " kjellberg reached an impressive milestone. He became the first YouTuber to hit 50 million subscribers. At the same time, he said he was going to delete his channel, a vow that turned out to be a marketing ploy. The Swedish creator didn't go through with it and kept on uploading videos.
India's T-Series, a profile which hosts music videos and movie trailers from the region, has made history for becoming the first YouTube channel to surpass 100 million subscribers on the platform after months of racing to the top with Felix " PewDiePie " kjellberj , the race started in September 2018 and ran for more than six months on YouTube. It became one of the most talked-about cultural events on the platform.
YouTube pay money on a monthly basis and mostly it is in the 21st of the month . YouTube has a threshold of 100$ in other words minimum payout , if your earnings stay less than 99$ then you will be paid next month . The earnings of a YouTuber depends on :
• the number of views you get. 1000 views can give you from 3$ to 15$ depending on the topic of your video
• the number of ad clicks you get on your videos. Every click gives you some amount of money , the amount depends on who clicked the ad for example a click from India will get you 0.3$ and a click from USA will get you 1.1$
