HR Analytics | Employee Attrition & Workforce Insights

I’m excited to share my latest Power BI project, an HR Analytics Dashboard designed to explore workforce health and understand the factors associated with employee attrition.

Instead of simply presenting HR metrics, I focused on building an analytical story that answers four key questions:

1. Workforce Health Overview

How healthy is the workforce overall?

A high-level view of workforce size, workforce status, attrition trends, and departmental distribution.

2. Where Is the Problem?

Where is employee attrition concentrated?

I analyzed attrition across job roles, departments, gender, and education to identify areas with higher turnover.

3. Employee Drivers & Risk

What factors are associated with higher attrition?

This page explores employment type, age group, business unit, and salary range to identify potential risk patterns.

4. Employee Details — Drill-through

I implemented an interactive Drill-through experience that allows users to select a specific job role and explore its underlying employee-level details.

To make the report more interactive and user-friendly, I also implemented:

Interactive Buttons & Page Navigation

Drill-through

Custom Tooltips

Interactive Filters & Slicers

Data Modeling & DAX

Figma-based UI/UX Design

Tools & Skills

Power BI | Power Query | DAX | Data Modeling | Star Schema | Data Cleaning | Interactive Reporting | Drill-through | Custom Tooltips | Buttons & Navigation | Figma

My goal with this project was to go beyond creating visually appealing dashboards and focus on analytical storytelling — turning raw HR data into insights that could support better workforce decisions.

This project strengthened my skills in data cleaning, modeling, DAX, visualization, and translating business questions into analytical solutions.

I’m continuing to build my portfolio and develop my skills in Data Analytics & Business Intelligence, and I’d love to hear your feedback.
