English Proofreading and Editing of an Academic Essay

I worked on an academic essay called *“The Importance of Reading in Our Daily Life.”* My job was to check the grammar, spelling, punctuation and how the sentences were put together. I also looked at the words that were used and how easy it was to read the essay. I kept track of all the changes I made so the person who wrote it could see what I did.

**Outcome:**

The essay was improved so it sounded more professional and was easier to understand. I made sure the person who wrote it still sounded like themselves and that their ideas were still there. This shows that I pay attention to details and I am good at using grammar. I want to make sure that the writing is of quality.
