Smart IoT Bench
The Smart IoT Bench is an intelligent outdoor seating solution that integrates IoT, embedded systems, AI, renewable energy, and cloud connectivity into a single platform. The bench enables real-time environmental monitoring, remote device management, AI-based visitor detection, digital advertisement display, USB and wireless charging, and automated power management using solar, battery, and AC power sources. Through a cloud dashboard, administrators can monitor live sensor data, control hardware features, and manage advertisement media from anywhere with an internet connection.
As the Embedded Systems and IoT Engineer for this project, I was responsible for designing and developing the complete electronic control system. My work included designing and building the control circuit, integrating sensors and power-monitoring circuits, implementing communication between the Raspberry Pi 5 and Arduino Mega using UART, developing the software for HTTP GET/POST API communication, AI camera integration, advertisement media management, and cloud connectivity. I also developed the logic for sensor acquisition, hardware control, and data exchange between the bench and the online dashboard, resulting in a fully functional Smart IoT Bench capable of reliable real-time monitoring and remote operation
