Developed a knowledge-based Library Management System using Prolog, demonstrating the practical application of Artificial Intelligence concepts such as Knowledge Representation, Reasoning, Inference, and Dynamic Knowledge Bases.

The system enables users to manage library resources through an interactive console interface, providing functionalities including book search by title or author, adding and deleting books, borrowing and returning books, listing available resources, and maintaining borrowing records.

The project leverages Prolog's logical inference mechanisms, including unification, backtracking, and depth-first search, to retrieve and process information efficiently. Dynamic database operations were implemented using assert and retract predicates, allowing real-time updates to the library's knowledge base during execution.

Additionally, the project addressed key software engineering and ethical considerations such as data integrity, user privacy, access control, and compliance with library lending policies. The final system demonstrates how logic programming can be used to build intelligent, rule-based applications for real-world resource management scenarios.
