Developed an AI-powered Sign Language Translation System that enables real-time communication between sign language users and non-signers. The application uses live camera input to recognize hand gestures and translate them into readable text, while also converting text into sign language representations.
The system processes live video frames, detects hand movements and gestures, and applies machine learning/computer vision techniques to identify sign language characters and words. The project was designed to improve accessibility and support inclusive communication for people with hearing or speech impairments.
Key Features:
• Real-time sign language recognition using a live camera feed.
• Translation of sign language gestures into text.
• Conversion of text into sign language output.
• Interactive and user-friendly interface.
• Real-time processing and high recognition accuracy.
• Accessibility-focused design for seamless communication.
This project strengthened my skills in software development, problem-solving, user interface design, and integrating intelligent technologies into practical real-world applications.
