The project objective is to complete the design, procurement, construction, and handover of the New Borg Al-Arab El-Tarfehaea 500/220/66/22 kV GIS substation to face the increase in electrical demand in Alexandria and the West Delta zone. GIS refers to gas insulation switchgear, and there are three buildings of GIS: 500 kV, 220 kV, and 66 kV.

My role is to provide the firefighting systems for transformers plus the fire pump required for the fire hydrant system in the substation with the best prices, delivery time, and quality. The firefighting system for autotransformers is as follows:

 Two systems for 750 MVA transformers

 One system for 175 MVA transformers

 One system for 40 MVA transformers.

My activities and responsibilities can be summarised in the following points:

- Collecting data on project and studying the contract.

- Creating a procurement plan for firefighting material.

- Reviewing the budget of each component.

- To assign tasks to team members and guide them.

- Coordinating with other project teams and the project manager until the completion of

the project.
