Data Analysis Project: Unmet Mental Health Needs
I recently completed a data analysis project exploring access to mental health services using Canadian survey data.
In this project, I:
Cleaned and prepared raw data using Python (Pandas)
Transformed coded variables into meaningful categories (Age, Income, Gender)
Built an interactive dashboard using Power BI
Analyzed patterns and trends across different population groups
Key Insights:
Approximately 68% of respondents reported unmet mental health needs
Younger age groups (15–24) showed the highest levels of unmet needs
A clear trend shows that lower income is associated with higher unmet needs
Differences across gender highlight important gaps in access
The dashboard enables interactive exploration of unmet needs across demographics, helping identify vulnerable populations.
