Hospital Efficiency Analysis

In this project, I developed a Power BI dashboard focused on uncovering inefficiencies and cost drivers within healthcare operations. Using a structured, real-world analytical approach, I built a solution that allows stakeholders to monitor and act on two critical KPIs: Average Length of Stay (LOS) and Cost per Discharge.

Starting from raw data, I designed a clean and scalable data model to support accurate reporting and fast performance. I then created dynamic DAX measures to track KPIs and enable flexible analysis across multiple dimensions such as time, departments, and patient segments.

Through exploratory data analysis, I identified patterns and anomalies in patient stays and treatment costs then applied root cause analysis to highlight what’s actually driving inefficiencies. The result is not just a dashboard, but a tool that helps decision-makers pinpoint high-cost areas, reduce unnecessary patient stay durations, and improve overall operational performance.

The final deliverable is an interactive, user-friendly dashboard built for clarity and action allowing non-technical stakeholders to quickly understand trends, explore insights, and make informed decisions.
