Another step forward in my networking journey.

Today I worked on a hands-on networking lab where I implemented Router-on-a-Stick with VLANs and configured DHCP for both IPv4 and IPv6. The lab focused on segmenting the network by creating multiple VLANs and enabling communication between them using inter-VLAN routing through router subinterfaces.

I configured trunking between the switch and the router to allow multiple VLANs to pass through a single link, then implemented DHCP to automatically assign IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to the hosts. After completing the configuration, I verified connectivity between devices across different VLANs and performed troubleshooting to ensure the network was operating correctly.

Working on labs like this helps me strengthen my practical understanding of VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, and dynamic IP addressing. Each hands-on practice brings me closer to building and managing real-world network infrastructures.
