This project simulates a medium-sized enterprise network with the following key components:
? Multiple VLANs for segmentation and security
? Inter-VLAN routing for communication between departments
? Redundant Layer 2 & Layer 3 links for high availability
? Access Points for wireless connectivity (Laptops & Smartphones)
? Centralized DHCP Servers for automated IP address management
? Centralized servers for enterprise services
? Hierarchical design: Core, Distribution, and Access layers
Through this project, I practiced:
✅ Designing scalable topologies
✅ Implementing VLANs, trunking, and routing
✅ Configuring redundancy for fault tolerance
✅ Deploying DHCP for dynamic IP addressing across VLANs
✅ Integrating wired & wireless devices in one network
This hands-on experience reinforced the importance of structured network design and best practices in routing, switching, addressing, and security.
