Hardware Project – “Pop It Up” Automatic Popcorn Machine

"The 'Pop It Up' is an automated popcorn machine designed with precise mechanical and electronic control. The system features a cup slider driven by a stepper motor and driver, which moves the cup under the dispenser. The dispenser releases popcorn kernels and oil according to the size selected by the user via a touchscreen interface.

The kettle is controlled by a piston and stepper motor, allowing it to lift and align with the cup for dispensing. Heating and popping are managed through a relay controlling the kettle. Once the popcorn is ready, the kettle lowers, and the freshly popped popcorn is dispensed into the cup.

The entire process is controlled using an Arduino, coordinating the stepper motors, piston, relay, and user input to ensure accurate and efficient operation."
