We Are Egypt – Editing & Sound Design Showcase

Turning 3,000 shots into a seamless 60-second visual experience.

"We Are Egypt" is a fast-paced promo project that went through intensive visual and audio engineering. To achieve this result, I reviewed over 40 different videos and compiled a massive library of around 3,000 shots.

The real challenge wasn’t the volume of footage, but carefully selecting the exact frames to match my pre-planned storyboard and narrative arc. In this project, I heavily focused on advanced techniques to elevate the final output:

Match Cuts: Used to transition seamlessly between different locations, eras, and actions, ensuring a fluid visual rhythm without jarring cuts.

Sound Design & Audio Layering: A meticulous audio mix designed to support the voiceover, giving every movement and cut a felt, cinematic impact that enhances the visual meaning.

This project marked a significant milestone in my editing career, reshaping my understanding of pacing, structure, and cinematic storytelling. It laid the foundation for the advanced video editing and AI integration tools I work with today.
