Web Security Project – Session Hijacking Analysis and Prevention

This work consists of studying and demonstrating session hijacking attacks in a controlled and educational environment.

The project analyzes how insecure session management can lead to session hijacking vulnerabilities in web applications.

Different scenarios are tested to understand the impact of weak cookie configuration and session handling.

The work also focuses on implementing security best practices such as secure cookies, HttpOnly, SameSite policies, and proper session management to prevent attacks.

This project is conducted strictly for educational purposes and aims to improve understanding of web application security and defense mechanisms.
