Considering the indigenous and local context of northern Iran from the very beginning of the design process, and given the placement of eight similar villas alongside one another, a naming strategy was adopted to strengthen identity and improve recognition and distinction between the villas. Accordingly, local and native names were selected for the villas, paired for each set of facing units. The chosen names include Fika, Taleka–Tal, Teti–Matina, Elima–Rasha, and Liro.

Due to the elongated proportions of the site (long length and narrow width), it was necessary to introduce a main central pathway and divide the length of the land into four sections. This strategy allowed the placement of eight villas (as requested by the client) on both sides of the main pathway in an efficient and well-organized manner.

In the next stage of the design process, in order to enhance the spatial quality of the areas located at the rear of each villa, a private courtyard was allocated to each unit, positioned away from the main pathway. Furthermore, considering the duplex nature of the villas (based on the designer’s decision), a vertical void was created adjacent to each courtyard. This design move enables visual connectivity between the interior spaces and the outdoor courtyard, enhancing spatial interaction and natural openness.
