This project focused on the design and execution of Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls up to 6 meters in height. A key feature of this work was the design and fabrication of a custom-built large-scale pullout testing apparatus.
Laboratory pullout tests were conducted to evaluate reinforcement–soil interaction parameters, and the MSE wall design was finalized based on experimental results rather than empirical assumptions.
Numerical modeling was performed to validate stability, deformation behavior, and soil–structure interaction under static and seismic loading conditions.
