? Classic Stone Facade – Project Description
⭐ Type of Work
This project features a classic stone facade designed and executed based on traditional classical architecture principles. The design emphasizes symmetry, elegance, detailed stonework, and soft curved forms, with the entrance acting as the focal point of the composition.
⭐ Key Features of the Facade
1. Perfect Symmetry
Both sides of the facade—including the windows, columns, and architectural volumes—are completely symmetrical. This is a fundamental principle of classical design and creates a sense of order and harmony.
2. Decorative Columns and Capitals
The columns with their detailed, sculpted capitals add a luxurious and timeless feel. They visually enhance the entrance and give the building a more monumental presence.
3. Curved Front Gable (Pediment)
The rounded, multi-layered pediment at the top is one of the facade’s most striking elements. The central ornamental relief reinforces the classical identity of the building.
4. Elegant Linear Lighting
The integrated lighting under the projections and architectural lines highlights the details at night, giving the facade depth and enhancing its classical character.
5. Natural Stone Material
The entire facade is executed in natural stone, which provides:
durability
the ability to create precise carvings and details
an elegant and luxurious appearance
Stone is the most appropriate material for classical architectural styles.
6. Classical Balcony Railing on the Roofline
The stone balustrades along the upper roofline complete the composition and add refinement to the overall structure.
7. Highlighted Entrance with Central Steps
The central staircase and framed entrance door act as the main focal point, making the entry both grand and welcoming.
⭐ Execution Process
1️⃣ 3D Design and Technical Drawings
The project begins with a complete 3D model to finalize:
proportions
column dimensions
decorative elements
lighting layout
2️⃣ Material Selection
High-quality natural stones such as:
light or cream travertine (e.g., Abbas Abad)
are typically chosen for classical facades.
3️⃣ Substructure Preparation
Metal framing or mortar leveling is used to ensure a flat, stable base for accurate stone installation.
4️⃣ Carving and Fabrication of Stone Details
This stage includes producing:
window frames
cornices
pediments
ornamental pieces
columns
These are either CNC-cut or handcrafted by skilled stone artisans.
5️⃣ Installation of Stone Elements
The stones are installed using metal anchors and adhesives, aligned carefully according to the design.
6️⃣ Lighting Installation
LED linear lights and spotlights are integrated beneath the cornices and architectural elements to highlight the facade at night.
7️⃣ Final Cleaning, Joint Filling, and Sealer Application
The surface is cleaned, joints are filled, and a protective stone sealer is applied for shine and water resistance.
Summary
This is a luxurious and well-executed classical stone facade, combining:
perfect symmetry
monumental columns
a detailed pediment
precise lighting
and high-quality natural stone craftsmanship
The result is a timeless, elegant, and visually impressive exterior.
