Talaat Harb was an influential Egyptian economist and a leading figure in the country’s modern economic revival. Born in 1867, he believed strongly in national independence and worked tirelessly to build a self-sufficient Egyptian economy. He founded Bank Misr in 1920, which became a cornerstone for national industries and cultural projects. Through his vision, Egypt saw the creation of companies in fields such as textiles, cinema, and aviation. Talaat Harb’s efforts helped empower Egyptians to take control of their economic future.
