Role: Front-End Developer

Technologies Used: HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript (ES6+), perhaps a build tool / bundler if you used one.

Project Overview:

I developed the front‐end of an e-commerce website for a furniture brand called Furniro. The aim was to create a clean, modern, responsive user interface that allows users to browse furniture products, view a product catalogue, add items to a cart, and proceed with checkout flow.

Scope Completed:

Home Page: Built the landing/home page showcasing featured products, hero banner, and navigation to other sections of the site.

Shop / Product Listing Page: Created the shop/catalogue page where users can browse multiple furniture items, filter or sort (if implemented), and click through to individual product details.

Product Page: Designed and developed the individual product detail page which displays product information, images, price, specifications, and an “Add to Cart” button.

Cart Page: Built the cart page to show items that the user has added, along with quantity controls, removal option, subtotal, and proceed to checkout link/button.

Key Features & Highlights:

Responsive design: the site adapts to mobile, tablet and desktop screens, providing a seamless user experience across devices.

Intuitive UI/UX: Clean layout, straightforward navigation between the Home → Shop → Product → Cart pages.

JavaScript functionality: Managed interactions such as adding items to the cart, updating quantities, and calculating subtotals.

Modular & maintainable code: Organized components/pages logically, used modern JavaScript for clarity and maintainability.

Attention to detail: Ensured good UI spacing, readable typography, high‐quality product visuals, and a smooth user journey from browsing to cart.

What’s Left / Future Enhancements:

While a strong foundation is already in place, future enhancements planned include user authentication/login, checkout/payment integration, order history management, product filters/sorting, and performance optimizations (lazy-loading images, caching, etc.).

Why This Project Matters:

This project demonstrates my ability to take a design concept through to a working user interface, handle core e-commerce flows, and deliver a responsive and user-friendly front-end solution. It’s a real-world style project that showcases both design sense and programming capability.
