Lung Scope: Air Aware — Turning Data into Life-Saving Insight

In a world where millions of lives are affected by respiratory diseases, Lung Scope: Air Aware was built with one clear mission —

to transform massive volumes of health data into actionable insights that empower prevention, early detection, and smarter clinical care.

Using a dataset of nearly 890,000 patient records, the project applies data analytics, DAX modeling, and Power BI visualization to uncover patterns that could reshape how we understand and respond to lung cancer risk.

The dashboard doesn’t just show numbers — it tells a story about human health, lifestyle, and the hidden factors that shape outcomes.

It addresses vital questions such as:

? How strongly does smoking behavior predict lung cancer risk?

️ What role do body weight and cholesterol play in disease development?

️ Do metabolic risks and comorbidities amplify cancer probability?

? Which patient groups — by age, gender, or region — are most vulnerable or most likely to survive treatment?

By integrating metrics like BMI, cholesterol levels, smoking status, comorbidity counts, and treatment outcomes,

the model calculates a comprehensive Risk Index that quantifies an individual’s overall vulnerability to lung cancer.

The results are visualized through interactive Power BI dashboards that highlight not only correlations but also potential intervention points — where prevention programs, lifestyle changes, or medical focus can make a measurable difference.
