The Yemen Emergency Medical Assistance (YEMA II) Project, implemented by ADRA Yemen (Jan 2023 – Mar 2025), aims to reduce morbidity and mortality among conflict-affected populations across five governorates. With a budget of €16.7 million, the project supports over 1.35 million people through comprehensive services: primary health care, child health (IMCI & immunization), malnutrition screening and treatment, maternal and newborn health, and WASH improvements in nine health facilities. Despite challenges such as approval delays, access constraints, and reduced health worker incentives, the project continues to deliver critical, life-saving health services to vulnerable communities in Yemen. I was leading this project.
