Direct Scanner Access for Web Applications

Designed and implemented a multi-layered system that enables seamless, real-time scanning while ensuring accuracy, security, and ease of use. Consisting of a Laravel web app, custom-made chrome extension and a python script built from scratch utilizing TWAIN drivers and CLI tools for wide scanner devices support. Given that browsers do not natively support direct scanner access due to security and system-level restrictions, this solution required bridging the gap between web technologies and physical hardware.
