This urban design project is located in Al-Daher, one of Cairo’s historically rich yet underutilized districts. The vision centers on revitalizing the urban fabric by enhancing building facades using recycled materials salvaged from demolished structures within the area. This approach not only promotes sustainable reuse but also preserves the architectural memory of the neighborhood.

Inspired by the ambiance of Al-Moez Street, the project introduces a pedestrian-friendly corridor that evokes the charm of Cairo’s historic streetscape. Through careful material selection and facade articulation, the new street blends heritage aesthetics with contemporary urban needs, creating a cultural spine that invites exploration and storytelling.

To support community engagement and improve livability, the design integrates expanded green spaces, native landscaping, and shaded outdoor zones that encourage gathering, rest, and social interaction. The addition of trees and softscape elements helps mitigate urban heat, improve air quality, and restore ecological balance in a dense urban setting.

This project reflects a holistic approach to urban renewal, combining cultural preservation, environmental responsibility, and social activation—transforming Al-Daher into a vibrant, inclusive, and resilient urban destination.
