metaspliotable_2 (NFS) Vulnerabilities

As part of the penetration test on Metasploitable 2, the assessment revealed a critical

misconfiguration in the Network File System (NFS) service.

The service was exposed to unauthenticated users, which significantly increases the risk of

unauthorized access.

This weakness could allow attackers to view and modify sensitive files, potentially leading to

full system compromise.

Immediate remediation and proper hardening of the NFS configuration are strongly

recommended
