As a team, we aimed to develop a comprehensive platform for designing
and simulating smart home IoT devices. Inspired by existing solutions like
Unifi and Coohom 2D, our goal was to create an intuitive web-based tool
that empowers users to easily design 2D models using both freestyle and
machine-detected approaches.
The platform features an integrated marketplace for IoT devices, offering
real-time pricing and specifications to facilitate informed decision-making.
Additionally, it simulates real-world behaviors, such as camera wall
detection and light projection, providing users with a realistic design
experience. To enhance collaboration, we incorporated dedicated
workspaces for companies, allowing teams to work together efficiently on
their projects.
Our goals include integrating machine learning tools and APIs to enhance
the design process and offer personalized recommendations based on user
preferences. By addressing the gaps in current solutions, we strive to
provide a unique and versatile platform that simplifies the design process
for smart home devices, ultimately making it accessible for all users.
