This Jupyter Notebook analyzes U.S. medical insurance costs to find the most impactful variable on cost. The analysis concludes that smoking is the biggest cost driver, with smokers paying significantly more than non-smokers. It also found that costs increase with age and BMI, and that there is a bias against women, who pay more than men on average for insurance. The cost per child decreases as more children are added. The analysis concludes there is no regional bias.
