The Heart of MRCP – Medical Book Design

Project Description:

- This is a complete design project for a high-yield medical revision book titled "The Heart of MRCP".

- I was responsible for full creative direction – including the cover design, inner layout, typography, and visual system used throughout the book.

The goal was to create a clean, structured, and visually accessible layout that matches the intense and focused nature of the MRCP exam.

Design decisions were made to enhance usability, support fast scanning, and reduce visual fatigue during long study sessions.

What I did:

- Front & back cover design

- Full layout design of over 500 pages

- Custom typography & paragraph styles

- Color-coding for different systems

- Smart use of bold keywords and visual anchors

- Print-ready formatting for A4 size (525 pages)

Design Approach:

I chose a minimalistic medical style, using soft contrast, functional spacing, and sharp hierarchy.

The cover reflects clarity, purpose, and modernity – suitable for the target audience of doctors and medical students.

- Adobe Photoshop (cover design, mockups)
