MediBox – Smart Medication Reminder System for Alzheimer’s Patients

Project Description:

MediBox is a smart medication box designed to help Alzheimer’s patients take their medication on time using simple light and sound alerts.

The box contains multiple drawers, each equipped with:

•Blue LED inside the drawer (internal indicator)

•Red LED on the front (external visual alert)

•3 push buttons to control the timer for each group of drawers

How the system works:

•Each button press = +1 hour added to the timer

•For example, pressing a button 3 times sets a 3hour timer for its linked drawer

•When time is up, both red and blue LEDs turn on, with an optional buzzer alert, reminding the patient to take the medication in that drawer

Manual time setting via simple push buttons (no complex screen)

Internal timer logic manages each drawer independently

Visual (and optional sound) alerts notify when it’s time

Each drawer is linked to a separate timer and button to avoid confusion
