My First Project: Fire Alarm System (Simple Design)

This is a simple fire alarm circuit designed and implemented as part of my practical learning in embedded systems.

Main Components Used:

1. PIC 16F877A

The brain of the system. It's programmed to detect high temperature and activate the alarm system.

2. LCD Display

Displays the current temperature and the system status (ON/OFF).

3. LM35 Temperature Sensor

Measures the temperature and sends the value to the microcontroller.

4. Buzzer

Emits an alarm sound when the temperature exceeds the limit.

5. Crystal Oscillator

Provides timing for the microcontroller.

6. Motor

Works as a sprinkler to simulate a fire-extinguishing response.

7. Variable Resistor (Potentiometer)

Used to control the brightness of the LCD.

8. Logic Toggle Switch

9. Transistor (BC547)

10. Restart Button

11. Capacitors

12. Resistors

How the System Works:

When the temperature reaches 60°C or above, the LM35 sensor detects it.

The PIC microcontroller receives this signal and activates the system.

The buzzer is triggered to alert with sound.

The motor (sprinkler) is turned on to simulate fire extinguishing.

The LCD screen updates to show the temperature and system status.

This project helped me improve my understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, and embedded system design. I'm planning to develop it further with additional features like a flame sensor and GSM module for SMS alerts.

I'd love to hear your feedback or suggestions!
