I am thrilled to share the latest project I have worked on, which involved adding new features to a Loadbank device used for testing the performance of batteries. As part of a team effort, my specific focus was on enhancing the Loadbank's capabilities with the following features using STM32:
Data upload and storage via SD card: To improve the device's usability, I developed a system that allows users to upload data to the Loadbank using an SD card, which can be easily retrieved and analyzed.
PID logic: To achieve precise control over the Loadbank's output, I implemented PID logic that enables the device to maintain a steady output while achieving setpoints, which required careful tuning and testing.
Enhanced measurement of voltage and current: Using innovative techniques, I was able to enhance the accuracy of voltage and current measurements, ensuring that the Loadbank's output is precisely controlled.
Communication bridge: To enable communication between the Loadbank and other devices, I added a communication bridge that allows the Loadbank to interface with other systems and peripherals, requiring extensive testing and troubleshooting.
In addition, I implemented a history log feature that records all Loadbank operations and values, providing users with valuable data for analysis and troubleshooting.
I am proud to have been part of this team effort and to have contributed to the development of these new features using STM32.
