I designed and implemented a complex, multi-layered enterprise network using Cisco Packet Tracer. This large-scale project demonstrates expertise in building and managing a sophisticated network environment, consisting of:
Multiple Routers and a Multilayer Switch.
Numerous Switches to support various network segments.
A variety of End Devices, including multiple laptops and specialized servers.
Critical Network Services such as NTP, SYSLOG, FTP, and HTTP servers.
A key part of this project was the implementation of OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) as the dynamic routing protocol to ensure efficient and redundant data transfer across the entire network. Furthermore, I configured multiple VLANs (Virtual LANs) to logically segment the network, enhance security, and improve performance, which included setting up inter-VLAN routing to allow communication between different departments.
The work included:
Developing and implementing a comprehensive IP addressing scheme for a large number of devices, subnets, and VLANs.
Configuring VLANs on switches and setting up inter-VLAN routing on the appropriate devices.
Configuring OSPF on all routers and multilayer switches for dynamic route advertisement and high-availability.
Setting up and configuring various network services on dedicated servers to meet specific enterprise needs.
Performing extensive verification and troubleshooting to ensure all devices could communicate effectively and all network services were accessible.
This project demonstrates my advanced expertise in network design, implementation of dynamic routing protocols (OSPF), VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and server integration. It showcases my ability to build, configure, and troubleshoot complex, large-scale network architectures.
