UDS Tester Tool

Designed and implemented a UDS Tester Tool that communicates with automotive ECUs using the Unified Diagnostic Services (ISO 14229-1) over CAN (DoCAN - ISO 15765-2). The tool handles Application, Transport, and Network layers, supporting session control, DTC reading/clearing, data transfer, and security access. Developed using Java and integrated with python-can for CAN communication. Also tested the tool with simulated ECUs and validated multiple UDS services.

? What makes it special:

Unlike generic testers, this tool includes full protocol decoding, modular design for service extensibility, and clean separation between UDS layers (Session, Transport, Network). Custom response parsing and response classes were implemented for better data management.
