Network Topology Project | HCIA Lab Configuration
In this lab, I successfully implemented a full network topology simulation based on the following requirements:
Configured VRRP hot standby groups for firewall redundancy
Set up NAT source pool for trusted users (2.2.2.2 - 2.2.2.3)
Configured FTP server on 30.3.3.100 and HTTP server on 30.3.3.200
Assigned 30.3.3.1 as the public IP of the firewall
NATted untrust zone to suitable internal servers
Created Security Policies to control traffic between zones
Implemented HSRP as part of the high availability setup
Configured Cloud connectivity to access the firewall GUI interfaces over the internet for both firewalls
Tools Used:
eNSP – Huawei simulation and VRRP setup
VirtualBox – Virtual environment for endpoint testing
Wireshark – Packet capture and traffic analysis
WinPcap – Packet capturing support for Wireshark
Cloud (Bridge to host) – For internet access and GUI connectivity to both firewalls
Attached are screenshots of the final topology setup.
Proud of how everything came together in this project! Looking forward to more hands-on labs and real-world network challenges.
