Network Engineering Lab – Complete Enterprise Topology**
Over the past few days, I’ve worked on building a full-scale enterprise network simulation using **Cisco Packet Tracer**. This project aims to simulate a real-world business environment with high availability, security, and scalability in mind.
Here’s a breakdown of what I’ve implemented:
**VLAN Segmentation**:
Created multiple VLANs (2, 3, 4, 5,default) to logically separate departments and improve security and performance.
**Spanning Tree Protocol (PVST+/Rapid-PVST)**:
Configured STP to prevent loops and establish a reliable Layer 2 topology, including primary and secondary root bridges.
**DHCP**:
Configured dynamic IP allocation per VLAN to ensure centralized and automated network addressing.
**HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol)**:
Set up gateway redundancy between routers to enhance fault tolerance for end devices.
**OSPF**
**VPN **:
Established multiple GRE tunnels to securely connect remote sites and enable secure routing across untrusted networks.
**ACL (Access Control Lists)**:
Implemented filtering rules to control traffic from specific VLANs and enforce security policies.
This project helped me reinforce my knowledge in Layer 2 & Layer 3 technologies, redundancy protocols, routing, and network security.
